| After more than thirty years of business in Brampton, the 747 Flea Market has closed its doors for good. Covid-19, with Peel’s frequent and prolonged shutdowns, has taken its toll on many small businesses, and we are no exception to its cruel effects. The 747 Flea Market does not own the buildings nor the property, and our landlord has decided to tear the buildings down and build a warehouse, which is less prone to rental income loss due to closures. We would like to thank our loyal vendors, staff and customers, many of whom have been at the market since its beginning. We realize the devastating impact this closure will have on all concerned, and the loss of a popular tourist destination. However, the eight months of closures with no revenue, and reduced rents we offered our vendors for the few months we were allowed to open took its inevitable toll. The buildings will be open to vendors only through the month of April to clear out their booths. Our hearts go out to them in the loss |
